In conclusion, save your money, this one's not worth it. Even the concluding action sequence isn't enough to save us, and the final boss being a CGI atrocity is certainly not enough to redeem it. Without spoiling anything, from almost the initial appearance of Artemis, the outcome of the story is extremely evident. The most noticeably poor element of the story was the utterly drawn out and predictable plot. They not only jar with the artwork style, but are poorly animated to the point of discomfort, especially when the shot holds on the poor animation for large periods of time. Most of the relationships in Dan Machi aren't much more than skin deep, but the relationship with Artemis feels even more so. Throughout this movie, his relationship with Artemis is hammered home as being very spiritual and deep, yet at no point does it feel genuine. of Dan Machi, from his insipid behaviour combined with his overpowered powers to the typical harem weakness of "everyone falls in love with him" for no reason. Bloated exposition and travel scenes, languid action sequences and uninspired dialogue created a forgettable 80 minute run time.įrankly, the character of Bell has always been one of the weakest aspects From the onset, what was most noticeable was the sheer amount of wasted screen time. There are elements that give it an edge in enjoyment, but for the life of me I can't remember exactly what they were.Īrrow Of Orion stands out in a landscape of mediocre anime works with its listless story, its uninspired characters, and the sheer amount of wasted time. Dan Machi has always been a hit or miss franchise.
